New Sustainability Milestone: Yukarı Kaleköy Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant Registered with International Carbon Registry

Developed by our affiliate Kalehan Energy, the Yukarı Kaleköy Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant in Bingöl has officially been registered with the International Carbon Registry (ICR), following successful validation. ICR is a voluntary carbon offset program based in Iceland.

This registration supports our environmental goals by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and preventing approximately 835,414 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.

Beyond strengthening Turkey’s renewable energy infrastructure, the project plays an important role in global climate action.
