Özaltın Wins Romania’s Largest Highway Project
Özaltın has been awarded one of the significant highway infrastructure contract: Design and construction of Târgu Mureș – Târgu Neamț Motorway, Section II Lot 1b: Miercurea Nirajului – Sarateni Km: 22+000 – 45+400.)

Financed through Romania’s 2021–2027 Transport Program and having a contract value of approximately €600 million project is one of the significant road investments in Romania.
The agreement was signed on May 29, 2025, in the presence of Romanian Minister of Transportation Sorin Grindeanu, General Manager of CNAIR Cristian Pistol and Özaltın Holding Chairman Hayrettin Özaltın.
The project, which is 23.4 km long and includes the construction of a 1.07 km long tunnel, has a design period of 6 months and a construction period of 24 months. Delivery date is planned for the beginning of 2028. By this project, which is in the northern part of Romania, connection of western and eastern parts besides strengthening national integration and expanding the country’s strategic transport network is aimed.
