Design and Construction of the Târgu Mureș – Târgu Neamț Highway, Km: 22+000 – 45+400 (Miercurea Nirajului and Sărățeni Section)

Carried out by the Özaltın–Infravis Joint Venture, this project forms a strategic segment of the A8 Motorway, which is part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). The A8 Motorway is designed to connect the eastern and western regions of Romania and link the historic regions of Transylvania and Moldavia. Consequently, the works undertaken in the Miercurea Nirajului – Sărățeni section are of particular importance for the development of this major infrastructure corridor.

The project comprises a 6-month design phase followed by a 24-month construction period. It includes the construction of two twin-tube tunnels with a combined length of 1.02 kilometers, along with 27 bridges and viaducts, including one balanced cantilever viaduct and one steel-deck viaduct. Additionally, the scope encompasses comprehensive ground improvement works.
