Oşkan-Berkman Hydro-Solar (Hybrid) 170-kV Overhead Power Line
The project comprised the construction of an 8-kilometer long, 170-kV overhead power line between the Oşkan hydroelectric power plant and the Berkman hydroelectric power plant in the province of Osmaniye, connecting the existing national electricity network in the Kadirli province of Osmaniye with a length of 10 kilometers out of a total distance of 18 kilometers.
The contract included project planning, felling, construction roads, the erection of 55 galvanized lattice towers and tower foundations, as well as the installation of a three-phase, double-circuit, 1,272 MCM stranded conductors and overhead earth wires with deployment.
The extremely rugged and steep terrain presented challenges related to access and constructability, yet the project was completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. It also enhances the renewable energy integration between the plants and the security of the transmission system in the region.
