Transmission Line Between 400-kV Özlüce to Kiğı Basin Substation
The project consisted of route design, supply, wire pulling installation, tests and commissioning of a 170-kV high tension power line using a 1,272 MCM double circuit twin bundle conductor, which is spanning approximately 36 kilometers from the 400-kV Özlüce switchyard in Bingöl province, to Kiğı basin substation also located in the same province.
The project work also included the erection of 93 lattice foundations and galvanized steel towers. Furthermore, the scope involved stringing a total of a 200-kilometer optical ground wire (OPGW), an overhead static wire (OHSW), as well as an all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) cable.
The project was delivered to ensure a secure, safe and reliable electrical infrastructure. It was completed on time and on budget in 2020, overcoming many challenges, including intense winter storms and high altitudes.
